Thank you very much to Deputy Director Shi-Lun Wei and the Hepatitis C team at the Health Promotion Administration, MOHW for providing our course students with the opportunity to learn about the prevention and treatment of Hepatitis C. Understanding the goal of eliminating Hepatitis C by 2025, as set by the WHO, is no small feat. Here is some feedback from Hussein Ali Jama, a first-year Master's student from Somaliland, sharing his experience:
The course is very interesting to me. Back in our country, there were a lot of infectious diseases, specifically tuberculosis and malaria, which were endemic, so studying this course will help me to understand the mechanisms of transmission, prevention, and treatment of diseases like
tuberculosis and malaria, which can empower me to contribute effectively to public health initiatives aimed at controlling these endemic diseases in my country.
By studying infectious disease courses, I'll be better prepared to address the challenges posed by diseases like tuberculosis and malaria in my community, ultimately contributing to improved health outcomes and quality of life for my fellow citizens
